Understanding Battery Capacity, Power and Cycle Life
A clear explanation of the key specifications used to compare LiFePO4 batteries and energy storage systems.

Battery capacity, rated power and cycle life describe different aspects of an energy storage system.
Capacity is commonly shown in amp-hours (Ah), watt-hours (Wh) or kilowatt-hours (kWh). Rated power, shown in watts (W) or kilowatts (kW), indicates how much power the system is designed to deliver. Cycle life indicates how many charge and discharge cycles the battery can complete under stated test conditions.
When comparing products, also review system voltage, continuous output, charging requirements, communication interfaces, operating temperature and installation needs. Final selection should be based on the complete specification sheet and the requirements of the intended application.
ASR Solar offers wall-mounted batteries, movable high-capacity batteries, all-in-one solar ESS and portable power stations.
